Client: Florida Prepaid College Board- ABLE Program
Things to Know:
On July 1st, 2016- the ABLE program launches in Florida. This program is a tax-free savings and investment program designed for individuals with disabilities. The Florida Prepaid College Board is seeking to engage bloggers who either have a disability themselves or are a parent/guardian of someone who does. They especially want to work with bloggers who are involved in the disability community, have an audience interested in disability-related information, have written about their/ their child’s disability on their blog before, and they MUST live in Florida.
Client will select 25 bloggers for a one-time sponsored post opportunity and 6 bloggers for an ongoing mama’bassador program.

What is ABLE?
A tax-free savings and investment account
- Choose from savings and investment options
- Tax-free earnings for qualified disabilities expenditures (“living expenses”)
Excluded for federal means-tested programs
- Supplemental Security Income – First $100,000 not counted as a resource
- Medicaid – Not counted as a resource
- Other Federal Programs – Not counted as a resource
Individuals Must Meet the Following Requirements or be a Guardian of a Person Who Meets the Following Criteria:
Meet the disability and severity requirements for SSI or SSDI
- Receive SSI or SSDI
- Meet the SSI or SSDI disability standards, even if not a recipient
- Have a condition on the List of Compassionate Allowances Conditions
Onset of the disability occurred prior to age 26
- Disability onset must be before the 26th birthday
- No restriction on current age
Florida resident
- Must be a Florida resident at time of application
The Internal Revenue Service categorizes eligible disabilities as follows:
1.Developmental Disorders: Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Asperger’s Disorder, Developmental delays and learning disabilities
2.Intellectual Disability: May be reported as mild, moderate, or severe intellectual disability
3.Psychiatric Disorders: Schizophrenia, Major depressive disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Anorexia Nervosa, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD), Bipolar Disorder
4.Nervous Disorders: Blindness, Deafness, Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Spina Bifida, Juvenile-onset Huntington’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Severe sensorineural hearing loss, Congenital cataracts
5.Congenital Anomalies: Chromosomal abnormalities, including Down Syndrome; Osteogenesis Imperfecta, Xeroderma Pigmentosum, Spinal muscular atrophy, Fragile X Syndrome, Edwards Syndrome
6.Respiratory Disorders: Cystic Fibrosis
7.Other: Includes Tetralogy of Fallot, Hypoplastic left heart syndrome, End-stage liver disease, Juvenile-onset rheumatoid arthritis, Sickle cell disease, Hemophilia, and any other disability not listed
Timeframe: ABLE Launches July 1st, 201- Exact campaign timelines to be announced.
Sponsored Post Blogger Responsibilities:
1.) Write a minimum of one (1) sponsored blog post regarding the launch of the ABLE program. Post is required to be of 400 words in length with at least 2, but not more than 7 high-quality images.
2.) Amplify the sponsored post via FB and Twitter, tagging clients media properties. Shares on Pinterest and Instagram are appreciated, but not required.
3.) Disclose that the posts are compensated as per FTC guidelines.
Blogger Compensation: $100 per blogger x 25 bloggers
Mama’Bassador Responsibilities
1.) Post Three (3) Sponsored Posts, utilizing message points provided by the client.
2.) Amplify each sponsored post via FB and Twitter at least two (2) times, tagging client’s media properties. Instagram, Pinterest and Youtube shares will be encouraged, but not required.
3.) Serve as a a co-host for Two (2) Twitter Chats, including posting Two (2) posts that will be pre-written for Twitter Chat Promotion. Co-hosts do not have scripted lines.
4.) Disclose that the posts are compensated as per FTC guidelines.
5.) Report to Heather Lopez Enterprises LLC, their urls/ links to sponsored post and social media amplifications.
Blogger Compensation: $550 per blogger x 6 bloggers
If the program is approved, bloggers will be selected and notified along with the timeline for the post(s).
